Honey Elementary School was built in 1983. A gymnasium was added later on the southeast campus.

The school has two computer labs as well as computers in every classroom. And the school's computers are all connected to the Internet.

School officials highlight their "excellent" parent teacher association and fully involved parents.

Among the annual events the school hosts are a '50's Day, Buddy Field Day, the Christmas Giving Tree, Bear pictures, Joyland amusement park nights, a book fair, a Honey hoedown, Skate Days and Popcorn Fridays.

Also, Honey Elementary provides two English-as-a-second-language courses.
