Excellence Indicator System report Renovated in 1982, Abernathy Elementary
School is part of a three-school campus in downtown Abernathy. The school building
was built in 1959.
Because all Abernathy Independent School District schools
are on one campus, students interact with a diverse group of peers, as well as
with teachers and administrators representing all grade levels.
Wired for
the Internet, the entire three-school campus features a T1 connection and a computer
in every classroom. A T1 connection is a high-speed, dedicated connection.
There is an interactive audio and video system in every classroom, and the school
has one computer for every four students.
The campus includes two acres of
fenced playground area outfitted with Facilitesk playground equipment, valued
at $55,000.
The parent teacher association at Abernathy Elementary School
